Vol 20 No 1 (2025): Buletin Sumber Daya Geologi

Buletin Sumber Daya Geologi Volume 20, Number 1, Year 2025, presents five scientific articles discussing mineral, coal, and geothermal commodities, contributed by researchers from the Center for Mineral, Coal, and Geothermal Resources, the Bandung Polytechnic of Energy and Mining, Padjadjaran University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Bengkulu University, the Indonesian School of Mineral Technology, PT Bumi Suksesindo, and PT Trimegah Bangun Persada. The first article investigates lithology, alteration, mineralization, and ore deposit types in the Tumpangpitu prospect area, Banyuwangi, East Java, identifying a high-sulfidation epithermal deposit at depths of 500–1,000 meters. The second article examines nickel laterite characteristics at Loji Beach, Obi Island, South Halmahera, using petrography and XRF geochemical analysis of drill samples. The third article focuses on geological processes and hydrothermal alteration in the Arinem area, Garut, West Java, using field data and core samples provided by PT ANTAM. The fourth article identifies geothermal potential in the Wisata Air Putih area, Lebong Regency, Bengkulu, based on subsurface resistivity values measured through magnetotelluric methods. The final article estimates coal reserves and stripping ratios in Sanga Desa, Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra, using block modeling with Minescape 5.7, revealing an estimated 84.4 million MT of coal with a stripping ratio of 3.3 across a 300.54-hectare pit.
