Vol 19 No 2 (2024): Buletin Sumber Daya Geologi

The Geological Resources Bulletin Volume 19, Issue 2, 2024, features five scientific papers discussing mineral and geothermal commodities, contributed by authors from various institutions, including the Center for Mineral, Coal, and Geothermal Resources, BRIN, the Bandung Polytechnic of Energy and Mining, Universitas Padjadjaran, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Diponegoro, PT. Nusa Halmahera Minerals, and PT. Aneka Tambang Tbk. The first article examines gold and copper mineralization characterization using geochemical methods to determine lithogeochemical clusters as a reference for further exploration, while the second article discusses bauxite resource estimation using the ordinary kriging geostatistical method to support mining planning. The third article analyzes the ranking of 20 geothermal prospect areas using the incremental IRR method based on DCF calculations to prioritize prospective areas, and the fourth article explores the geology, mineralogy, and geochemistry of bauxite deposits to understand the distribution of rocks and the correlation of elements. The final article highlights the lithium potential in phyllite rocks in the Luk Ulo Complex, Karangsambung, Central Java, as a step to support lithium-ion battery production in Indonesia. Appreciation is extended to various parties, including the Head of the Center for Mineral, Coal, and Geothermal Resources, the editorial team, editors, peer reviewers, and contributors, for their efforts in ensuring the bulletin consistently delivers high-quality scientific papers to its readers.
